It's not really random but it's just the whole region that's like that for me. the fps stays around 45-55 anywhere i go. 3x less than what it is in any other region. maybe it's an optimization issue since it's a windows copy or something

So i've been playing TLD for years, started on xbox back in 2016, then in 2020 made my switch to pc. i'm on my 2nd pc right now and i'd say it's pretty well equipped to run TLD: asus tuf gaming 3060ti paired with a intel i7-11700k. (btw i'm still playing on the xbox copy that i bought all those years ago, through the windows/microsoft store. it was perfect because it had all my progress saved and i never saw the need to buy it again on steam, so i kept playing on the xbox/windows copy and i still do) I play on a 1440p monitor, that has 165hz refresh rate. I have maxed out quality settings on the game, with the exception of medium shadow quality (i don't really care about it} When i played TLD on this system it always ran smooth like butter, and i would be getting very high frames. Pretty much almost always maxing out my monitor with how many frames it can show per second. I'd always get around 165fps if not more. So i hopped on tld today to finally play the new update to the dlc and check out the zone of contamination. I have a save where i left off finishing mapping forsaken airfield, so I loaded up that one and made my way to the new region. everything was running well like usual. After i got through the tedious cave system that connects forsaken airfield to the zone of contamination, i finally got to the end of the cave and reached the new region. As soon as i loaded into the new region, my frames dropped all the way down below 60fps. In the new region i average about 45-55 fps no matter where I am. I tried loading into it through with new save but the same thing happens. In every other region, I get basically 3x more frames than i do in the zone of contamination. I wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue or if it's only me. Or maybe this is some next level God tier region that makes my system feel like it's getting old now😆 I have some screenshots here of fps that i get in other regions. I only included a few because i didn't feel like going to the rest since i've been there plenty of times and i know what fps i get there. But still there are some for reference:

I don't know if this is a bug or not but, I was playing interloper and shot a bear with a bow and arrow well over 6x over the course of 2 in-game days. Everytime i'd go inside a building and go outside only a few minutes later the bear would despawn and disappear. later, he would show up again without any of the arrows that were on him. So I shot him again and again, TWICE in the face (I could literally see the arrows between both of it's eyes) yet still after 2 days the bear would not bleed out even though it was leaving blood tracks. i went to the cave where he spawns and I found 2 of the arrows on the floor next to each other. I swear this bear is impossible to kill if i go indoors at anytime. Is this meant to be this way? I will also go to the support page and write my story there. I really want this to be looked into because it really makes me not want to play when stuff like this happens, thanks.

i really liked that one joke that will made about astrid being a "freelance doctor." just wondering if episode 3 will have any sarcastic or funny remarks in dialogue? or will it be really serious like the dialogue with grey mother and methusela? before i die from hypothermia i hope i can die laughing too xD---and if there isn't i guess i'll just have to keep laughing at "can you eat trees?" lolll gets me every time! another question, any plans on giving the ability to hang the bow kinda like you can with the rifle? not a big deal just wondering

i was wondering how big the long dark world is, in terms of km? and maybe how much it will be after the new region you mentioned coming hopefully soon.

I was just wondering if there currently is, or if there will be, a way to transfer progress from one platform to another? For example, from xbox to pc?

i don't know if this is only me, but I was playing tld and in the very early morning my character woke up and i went outside. I kept hearing a sound i've never heard before in the game (I have been playing for 2 years). It sounded like a plane flying overhead, but there wasn't anything above me yet the sound was very loud. (this wasn't during an aurora and I was in crumbling highway; definitely did not mistake the sound for not just being the waves from the ocean) I even have a clip of it and and you can definitely hear this weird sound. Was this purposely put in the game or is it some type of glitch possibly on my end?

I've been playing TLD on xbox for a while now and I want to switch over to pc/mac. Will there ever be a progress transfer feature from one system to another? - Thanks

will tld ever get xbox one x enhanced?

I have been playing the long dark for a while now on my Xbox, and the game is great but I would really love to be able to use keyboard and mouse rather than a controller to play it. Everything just feels much slower when you're using a controller for tld, and it just feels much better with a keyboard. And rather than just telling people to get a pc, it could be easier to just add keyboard and mouse support to the game. Xbox has opened up keyboard and mouse support to a select few games and I'm hoping that hinterland studio could add tld to that list. Hopeful this will happen someday.

@Raphael van Lierop I was thinking of an idea that isn't exactly multiplayer but also allows you to have a good time with the game with other people. A versus mode where the game would generate the same loot, start location, starting loot etc. to both players that are playing the mode. How it would work is basically 2 people play in there own seperate games to see who can survive longer with the same starting materials. This way it still stays away from an actual "multiplayer" feel. It'll be just 2 players trying to see who can survive longer in certain situations. Thanks for reading, and let me know what you think!
