Went on a killing spree yesterday and I originally wasn't going to but I had explored all of Broken Railroad and was going to go back to Mystery Lake to plan my next trip. I killed the bear that hangs out down by the climbing rope that leads up to the hunting lodge, got all it's meat, hide and guts back up to the lodge where I killed all 4 wolves that patrol the area. Also this hunting lodge smells absolutely divine right now let me tell you.

Items sure do love to float around here 😂

So this is the thanks I get for working overtime. 😑 It all started the other day when I misplaced my hatchet. I'm still in Forlorn Muskeg and had just gotten back to poachers camp from Spence Homestead. Shot a bear with the revolver and surprised I actually hit it. Found it later and to my surprise, it was near the poachers camp and was going to get some wood from the limbs nearby but noticed my hatchet is gone. So I go back to Spence's place and it's not there either. I'm pretty annoyed at this point but whatever, there's plenty of sticks and scrub brushes that I can get. I quarter the bear and on the way back to the camp I fell through the ice and when I got back, I decided to eat and got food poisoning. My mouse almost earned it's wings as I about threw it across my room and raged quit 😂. Not the worst situation this game has put me in but it sure knows when to take advantage of you at the right moments, like you get one moment of weakness and the game turns to it's friends who are already doubled over laughing and is like "heh heh.. watch this" 😂

My new best friend right here, the dead guy. It's been 10 days in game and I've been looking for anything resembling a firearm. My settings are mostly Interloper but have some Stalker elements such as I can still find the firearms and tools but even then all the settings for the chance to find stuff in the world and inside containers is very low. Found the revolver, extra ammunition and a fresh piece of cooked venison all on this guy. I'm so sorry that you didn't survive but you sure helped me, thanks my friend 😘😚❤️

He does look better but I have to say that his former voice sounded better with Gord Marriott as the voice actor. His voice was deeper and it made the character sound more sinister

It did, though he did run when I aimed the gun but he got brazen and came at me again and that's when I dropped him. The shy friend seemed to not want to bother because I had no more trouble with the timberwolves after the fact hehe

Well you're in luck, it just so happens that I do have a bullet reserved just for you that's going to be put between your eyes

I've gotten food poisoning from a cooked piece of 73 percent bear meat once before and believe me, I wanted to throw my mouse across the room because it was a slap in the face after the situation I had been put in before I got the affliction. The way I see it though, there's always a chance for food poisoning except if it's anything above 75 percent or it's cat-tail stalks and beverages. Also if you're level 5 cooking, then it doesn't matter what condition items are in plus you can eat ruined items if you wanted as well. Just don't eat any raw meat because you will still get food poisoning, I found that one out the hard way.

Are aurora bears invincible or something? I was at the house that's up the hill from the Quonset and there was an aurora bear on the road coming toward me. I shot him in the head, I seen the blood splatter and the skill increase and I went in and slept through the night and in the morning he still wasn't dead because my "bears killed" count was still at 6. Found him again at the Quonset station and shot him again, this time in the chest and did the same thing, passed time and he still didn't die, what the heck? I'm positive it's the same bear because the other one was near the misanthrope's homestead. Found him again near the abandoned trailer near the coastal townsite and shot him again and because he didn't see me, he ran and when I went inside to kill time, he finally died. .. I get that when you shoot a bear in it's leg or limb it will take 8 hours to bleed out but I shot him in the head and in the chest, give me a break

Me: Okay I need to be careful, there could be bears in this area. The Long Dark: Bears you say? You sound like you need some more bears in your life *inserts bear right outside the truck I'm sitting in* Me: Now wait just one minute here!! Oh sure start a new custom save set on Stalker level. Turn the bears on "very high" she said, it will be fun and challenging I said. Yeah sure girl, keep telling yourself that it will be fun. I went into this save full of vigor and felt like nothing could take me down but a few bear attacks later and one particular encounter that practically made me jump out of my own skin, I've become pretty timid and almost on edge when it comes to bears. Almost makes me want to stop playing for awhile so I can build myself back up and not be so jumpy lol The bear looks far away but this is about as close as I'm willing to get LOL!

If you think about it, heaven isn't that far away. Thinking about a very dear friend today that I lost to a cancerous brain tumor 8 years ago this December. Have gotten better but still have my moments as well.

What's this? Actual nice weather in Pleasant Valley? Yeah, It was nice until I ran into the bear that patrols by the arch which luckily he just growled at me. Still made me jump back in my chair. 😂🤣 I swear if I was a cat then you would have to peel me off the ceiling with my tail being a bottle brush Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go get a defibrillator 😂

Oh I did lol unfortunately it was just out of defense because I don't need the meat or hide as I have like 2 thousand pieces of meat in Mystery Lake(figuratively) LOL 😂

Again with a bear? Really game? I get it, you really like bears and you want to show me them every single time I come over but come on now, I'm tired and I want to sleep without worrying that somehow the bear will attack me even though I'm in a train car 😂

Let's play a game sound fun? It's called "Where's the bear? it was here just a bit ago" .. you know he's around somewhere but at the same time, he could be anywhere in your general area. It's like when you see a spider but when you come back to get rid of it, it's gone. The fear is still there but this time, it's a thing that can actually kill you. Yes I'm terrified of spiders too

I've seen this before too. You go to open the door to the office and it goes backwards and sinks into the wall, leaving only the doorknob visible. I thought it was pretty funny 😂
