  1. I have studied cultural management between business and I played many games since Casio Game watches and ... yeah Larry Leisure suit (omg) and Commando when I was a kid on 2.86, but that was not my fault! Anyway, when I read about the love for my country it is so strongly imprinted in general stereotypes all over the world, and of course it's not just a superficial perception \ opinion but a true love for it, I have found out that since medieval times and before people used to make maps about tours and how to tour a place a town or the entire peninsula here... The way we drew maps changed (and I am going very fast here, both with the introduction line and also on the topic \ suggestion explanation) when we started to have Balloons which happened after 1600 end. During 1700. That gave a total change in the mindset of people, just like train was a HUGE (today so much under rated in general Public Opinion) change for our human mindset for how we went fast to other places and we started to think about something called "vacation at the sea side or up to the mountain" (and mass vacation started to exist, we also invented Cinema, first ideas were in USA when movies where made out of a "train trip" concept that bystanders (just like in those Tents you see in RDR2 .. the game) were witnessing the world FAST and from a train window. I hope you are following me until here understanding at least what I said. What Happened on the map suggestion I was trying to tell you about? Well, now cutting fast in a quick ellipsis over "what happened in our mindsets during our history", today, we are about to LEARN THE ORBITAL PERSPECTIVE which entails hyper complexity understanding (today a major widespread illiteracy and deficiency in general masses, which still believe there is one truth when instead the world and the truth is made of many stories, not one label). This Orbital Perspective is already acquired by those that EXPOSE themselves to the vision of our planet from the ISS in LEO (low earth orbit) from the International Space station ... well... (in which also a CanadARM is mounted besides other EU\RUS\JPN and so on modules ) and this orbital perspective will change totally everything of how we approach each other and how we approach to earth how we make games ... everything. The recent "Trash Tag" things happening are just very recent examples of Orbital Perspective effects... or me too (no extremism) is too another example of this of course summing or mixing with other things like the biggest innovation of our time (coming from military and academics): the internet. The vision you have of the world is changed and changes everyday. Nothing is still, not even climate and weather as many wanna think. I am not trying to convince you about anything of these things but one: When we used to explore our places and we did it LIKE IN THE LONG DARK, from our feet on the ground, we used to DRAW ON MAPS the shape of the buildings we USED TO SEE FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE. The design in The Long Dark is kinda talking to us from how we watched the world before (from above\ top down) instead or reminding the player that NOW nature is recognized again for what it is (we dnt cheat it anymore with immortality, as we try to do in 2019...) and killing the immersion and not exploiting the fact that, ok the apocalypse for a magnetic problem just happened, and and.. we dnt know the truth, because the truth is made of many stories the developers want to be free and let us free to tell, but one thing is sure, we could have so much more orientation from a map that has simple (easy to make for the designers) LANDMARKS that are signed on the map with the carbon when we decide to do that. (they should not be designed as a default) they could even be already designed as a default for those that want EASY MODE, (so this feature could even have different shades helpful for those that dnt like to play "hardcore" games). This would not only allow (NO hand holding) but consistent with the game (I hope which will stay always "hardcorish") it will allow people to orient themselves deepening the connection they have to build with their senses INTO THE GAME (ears, eyes, feeling, ... ) which lead to strategies we wanna make come true, but it will also ENANCHE how much we understand of the game and thus get a reward from it, naturally ... just silently understanding where we are. How to do this (Just draw profiles of SOME FEW AREAS) whenever randomly we happen to draw with carbon something on the map, and this would actually help a lot (maybe also with a in game "voice" QTE that makes us understand that we might be drawing something good here where we are in that moment .. or maybe not telling us, so just leaving space to surprise: because after all new features DO NOT HAVE ALWAYS TO BE ANNOUNCED AND EXPLAINED --- Developers like this are surely transparent but they kill ALL THE MAGIC around a game for marketing purposes: marketing doesn't understand the art of gaming and playing games, and learning the language of games is something still not respected by most marketing ideology (there is not such thing today of Gaming marketing that isn't detrimental to the real player UX ... on this other chapters and books need to be written.. not gonna talk about this here). If the map stays "watched" from above, it feels disorienting, I just wish that (I understand that might be done by devs on purpose.. having it like it is now, to try to make it hard for us to navigate) but in the same time we would have a feeling of Human (nature) bending to Nature by changing their habits and starting to "wildify" themselves or simply "go back" (go towards) the former way we used to navigate places. Indeed the perspective from the ground, the way of the wayfarer (in the map). I already suggested this via tweets 2 years ago when they were about to update the game, but never received a response. Plus I was caught in a ban because the culture on steam is toxic behind any repair (due to valve enforcing that kind of stuff there so... yeah I could not make this come out). I hope it is useful, maybe I can learn some stuff too! Thank you for your time. I hope you could join me even for a moment from the feet on the ground perspective, even if I seem to fly like a free baloon out of nowhere in into somewhere and then suddenly blow off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_cartography Anybody interested in these things just take a course in History of geography and other topic like History of the ancient cities and history of cities.. it's just MIND OPENING.

Thank you. I guess so, but usually Teas are really detrimental to a balance of the diet, Teas are actually killers of production of vitamine D which of course lack of Sun light is major issue... Anyway of course we are not in a reality simulation game, I get that. It was just a question since there is some "inspiration to reality \ how the body works" in the game, of course it has all the right to stay just a partial inspiration not a total abiding to real human life simulation into the game. Maybe some teas can be good to addition of vitamines, I just ignore it.

I actually very share what you say, I really like to listen to ambient music and we all know "God is an austronaut" ( which is also, if I am not wrong , soundtrack for the beautiful football drama "Friday Night lights", tv serie made quite sometime ago, which brings me good vibes as I was discovering the sport of football while watching that tv serie in those days) and there are many more cool ambient... but these, these by fjellstrom really caught me by surprise (I dnt wanna get caught in the wrong - so I won't post a link but u surely can find them online there is a web site that offers free "streaming" of his music, maybe it's the official blog...) they really have a strong soul, they seem to have life these pieces. They seem to be speaking, like aurora speaks to us and our imaginary. Thank you, I just am bringing what this guy managed to bring to us. You can really feel the hours and the passion of work and studies and of course experimentation this guy did. I don't know what happened to him, maybe suicide or maybe some overdose. I don't know or just a heart failure, I tried to look the causes of his death a few days ago. I guess he wasn't lucky with the duration of life, but what he produced was surely a gift and I feel lucky to have discovered such talentl, it shows what we can do with passion and hard work even when very young. Anyway the TV serie The terror has been dedicated to him. There will be a second serie, maybe still with his music (I dnt know) as things change perspective in next season. Anyway regarding this music it's really what you would listen to think at Long Dark Caves, or when someone is hunting for you, or you are in a strange aurora moment in some dark place. I did not hear pieces that give very positive vibes but it is also true that I just listened to a few of his pieces (besides the many during the 1st season of The terror that I listened to without being conscious I was listening to his notes), not more than 3 I heard out on web sites. So there are surely surprises ... surely a song that is named Skelektikon (and an album) might not give those shiny sunny vibes... but who knows? I am a person who loves the rain and thunders just as the sun so who knows what you feel. Gotta also say that in The Terror there are Auroras, and there are very magic moments diverse but in some way similar to The long dark (magic\nature force) so the songs might be a little away from the cartoon design of the game but might also bring to reality what we live in the game (somehow like a movie of a videogames is capable to do).

I generally am against playing music during games. I like the V.O. of things in general, so if The passion of Christ is in Armaic I watch it in Aramaic and the Romans speak English or latin, I watch it like that (the actor did that interpretation, no sense of change it like they do with anything in my "country")... if there are the subs, good, if there is no subs, I am sorry, I keep watching my goooood V.O. This is how I think, so if the game has this experience designed, I try to keep it as the game is, not mod it too much; Anyway I heard that many use music , like they were "bored" by long game sessions or just by its pace, which of course is just their way of experiencing things. So since maybe not many know about this, I just wanted to share a suggestion on potential music players could use, no promotion here. Actually the composer is dead since 1 year so, there is no real promotion: I watched a TV serie named The Terror, which takes place in mid 1800. It's just great. It has a very strong theatrical flavor in some parts and especially in the last episodes offers very simple but strong scenes (short moments, which are really well made and stay impresssed in your mind)... photographic moments.. I love when in in a scene a dialogue in the tv serie always with this music or not in back ground reminded me about caving and that we find humanity where there is loneliness, in the desert, and when in front of difficulty we become human again. I dnt find this in long dark so much. I wish there was less savage feeling, I feel like I am a wolf at some point (I played once for 10 hours or more in a raw, maybe 14... it really makes you feel like u are a stray animal... woof woof). Anyway the music in The terror are written by this Swedish composer called Marc Fjellestrom, which I wanted to share with you the information about: the sounds are dark and pretty deep. The terror is a TV serie that makes you feel claustrophobic in those ships the story is about ... and well, for some moments it makes you think about this game. What about scurvy? Where do we get vitamin C in the game? (just a flash question..) Anyway... Marc Fjellestrom really has crazy deep music that will make you tremble inside. This said whether you like the V.O. of the long dark like me or wanna instead experience very dark moments during the gameplay with the help of external music (like many experience Elite Dangerous with). I don't know if it fits in though, this dpends on your taste. I prefer actually to hear my breath and my heart beat than anything else during the game session.
  5. Wow , I am usually against reading like guides that actually spoil the whole thing but here at least you learn just something anyway you should know to immerse even more as you live there so you could know these things or even just don't read this and just let it happen. Anyway... I really think this is a great way to create emergent gameplay! I love emergency in games... and everywhere in life. It makes us creators. WELL DONE!
  6. I started too with a non legal version, but I wish they had an official demo. Anyway Piracy is good if intended as a test for buying, as a way to sponsorize a product (make it get known from people... just like Napster an many others did "illegal stuff" to be known or make culture to be known) not if free riding is constant and unconscious. Devs are surely aware why what and what not how it works. I know that devs as any artist even uses piracy to be known, there has been many cases of this and it's totally not illegal even if it sounds a little cannibalistic. I think that the game offers at least 200 hours of gameplay including story, challenges and a couple of free roaming experiences. at least 200 hours. I see people with 1000 2000 hours in it. The time u do that 200 or thousands u will have the third episode ready there. Or maybe a whole new game as they have new equipment investment now made (but I guess it will be for other projects). Oh gosh I dnt know if u will accept these words from a "wolfbait"... I better run to cover!
  7. Dear Hinterland Games Studios, I have been banned from the forums on Steam I will be honest (2 years ago) and I could not have an argument on Van Lierop online or with you, it was not welcome nor allowed from how I was met on my request to explain, I guess one believes in one truth (which doesn't exist). I just learned about the game maybe 3 years ago, I tested it online and then bought it. I think you should offer a demo so that people could try the game (maybe there is already?) so that people do not use piracy (as videos online never give you the chance to "speak the language of a game and live it) even if piracy (Yes I know it's a strange topic which I won't open) is often failed to be recognized (and there are data from this https://www.utdallas.edu/~eharuvy/papers/Piracy.pdf to also an entire Podcast from Pretty good games that explained this with a study from Europe)... as a market enhancer: there is no doubt that those who exploit it will mostly damage the market and the creators, but it is surely true that like in cases (and there are many) as Napster or even before as Sergei I.Zhuk explains in "Rock and Roll in the rocket City" or the movie Chuck Norris vs communism or Moleman 4 the documentary... all these cases show how important was piracy and you or nobody can't deny this. I suggest although, especially for avoiding problems to make available a demo. Is it available? I say this for your own sake, which you surely know well to take care of. Anyway I would never talk about this in forums as I know thos can get derailed if people are not mature. I love to live the challenge of the game even if sometimes it can feel mechanic it really is a good game. I write you from Europe and at the time I was removed from the Steam channels my name was Antares. Actually means "anti - ares" which was the God of War for the greeks. I dnt like unnecessary and in general I dnt wanna have conflicts (even if On steam this is a daily mundane issue) Unfortunately I got my first ban after 9 years in 2017 (from you) on Steam when addressed (after some good exchanges in other topics of your channel in the same days) and started of course to argue with mods on how I was treated. After those events, I have been harassed by many moderators that even for a necropost (1st post in a forum) banned me for 1 day Yes, well... I think that negative ban record make you an hard life on Steam, anyway I don't care I am not gonna write a lot anymore in forums, it's just that I care for explaining and having a normal life with others, instead of behaving like we were screens and not humans. I just don't understand why I have to be caught in these intricate strings of hate and banning when I am here just to help and speak and share yes also with a critical stance but that is normal, if one is conscious they are critical too, they are awake. Anyway... It happens that your policy is very strong and doesn't allow not even a fly to fly or not even criticism. WHen I was speaking I wrote about a bug which I wanted to signal and on how the game was different on other games or other normal topics before being assaulted from a few aggressive fan boys that started to claim I was full of trash and stuff like that (that you allowed to fall on me like a correct curse instead to protect me and the space from that stuff: passion is good but needs limits). The same passion for solving things that brings me here btw, but I know I need limits so I won't talk of this anymore in the future. I just want to be able to read and discuss with some people without seeing a red message on how much I am bad or I did errors with you time ago, which can even be fruit of misinterpretation, manipulation, emotions on many sides, and mis understandings. Anyway I hope I can read and stay here on your forums as I understood you cannot remove the bans on Steam (which anyway has a really really big problem of toxicity, in any forum everywhere, and not just forums, also reviews...) I will never accept either a company addressing aggressively issues (but bans happen if one exaggerates, but things need to be read not attacked) I will never accept people that actually try to damage a game or a developer for pure fun and desire to deface. This is something I see many allow and I would rather ask to people after a warning to avoid using misleading ideas... anyway free speech need to be allowed in forums as we will be remembered for what we are. People will know what we did, it's objective. Besides from the Ban "winning" side (the one who bans) history will show who has done wrong. (I don't wanna pepper up this, sorry! But in your forums you should delete all those situations where people actually refer to you as a ban machine, and often many do it, there are many awkward cases that appear if one digits in the search box "ban" or banned or other similar keywords... it's not cool at all). I am anyway here to be and talk about the game even if makes me sad what happened I hope really you will understand that being too much aggressive can create problems to people that haven't really meant to be seen as aggressive and mistakes can be done on both sides. There is no God in consumer nor a God in moderation which can make errors both. Anyway Thanks for after 5 days, letting me be here on the forums. I will refrain if you let me, from any discussion on these topics, I just need that you face the reality as this practice is really damaging the forums (I see people even being scared of talking of things because of you ... this is really beyond awkward, a game developer that uses terror to enforce positive attitude... it's not really cool, accept to deny this is a suggestion, but this is a suggestion not an insult. Do not manipulate my words, please. Do not force my message as a message out of good faith because it is in good faith. Thanks. I heard you got a new set of "motion capture" from Capcom canada right? I hope you will make a good use of that equipment, I just really liked the journey and the challenges in the game so far, the criticism on the game should be met with explanatory attitude or yeah, maybe met with facts only. I think many of us don't know how long it takes to make a good game and the time you are taking to finish it or constantly update it with quality mechanics content and new gameplay experiences is a proof of this. Many people should know the average time of game production and development and often they speak without knowing em.
