  1. Was wondering if wolves that are effected by the Aurora are afraid of fire.
  2. Was wondering if it is possible to wear two rabbit skin hats at once.
  3. @ManicManiac, Thanks mate! I knew there was a cave near there, I just didn't know where. Thanks for the help, much appreciated. @ajb1978, I don't really know what your trying to say here but to clear up your confusion I'm currently playing in the Challenge game mode attempting a challenge called "Archivist".
  4. Hello fellow survivors. Lately, I have been making an attempt at the Archivist Challenge (The one where you have to collect the buffer memories from the computers during the Aurora), and I'm having a bit of trouble deciding on how i'm going to survive getting the one in FM. I have already collected all the memories from MT, ML, and BR. That said, I have done a lot of looting and I have a lot of nice warm clothing, quite a bit of high calorie food items, and a rifle with about 35 bullets which I have been saving for a situation like this. That and everything else essential for spending a couple of days away from these nice and cozy indoor locations. The only question now is, how am I gonna do this? I don't want to just camp out under the signal tower (I'm sure most of you know what I mean) because I don't want to have to worry about keeping fire alive and keeping a snow shelter together. My only other idea is hanging out in the poachers camp until an aurora comes around, but I really don't like the location. A bear walks around there around the morning time and the last time I was there a wolf was lurking around. Do you all have any ideas on how I should do this? Are there any good caves nearby or something? Any help is appreciated. Thanks and cheers .
  5. Methuselah, definitely. So many questions.
  6. K then. I already collected both buffer memories in Milton and i'm now in the ML Camp Office waiting for another aurora. Thanks and cheers .
  7. Title says it all. I've been spending a lot of time indoors waiting for auroras and I need to know if I should start camping outdoors to prevent cabin fever.
  8. She says "Can you eat trees?" not "Can you eat treats?".
  9. I think elk would make a fine addition as well.
  10. @k0s0ff is that a prison in the background? Very nice drawing. I specifically like the look of the ice.
  11. The feeling of surviving a long trek and sitting in the Camp Office and cooking tomato soup.
  12. If you happen to stumble across a antler scratching on a tree when exploring the vast frozen wilderness of The Long Dark, tread carefully. A moose may have made residence nearby.
  13. @codfish107, I didn't actually shoot through the the cracks in the wall, I was was just aiming my rifle through them an peeking from them. Also, mine was a one - shot too!
  14. In the summer, I shoot squirrels with a .22 caliber BB gun so they don't eat my families tomatoes. Does that count?
  15. @piddy3825 it was weird how I got a one shot on that moose. Let me give you a little backstory... I left the camp office to head to the trappers cabin. Of course, there's a wolf in the way, so I use a deer as a decoy. It works surprisingly well and I manage to slip by. I continue peacefully, listening to the wolves howling in the distance and the wind blowing in my ears. As I reach the clearing in front of the cabin, I take a quick look around. "No wolves, no bears, no moose! I'll be on my way now." I said confidently as I made my way to the little wood shack in hope of a deer carcass. As I slip in, I see it. The moose. In TLD, my least favorite animal is the moose. So big, so heavy, so.... rib breaky, if you know what I mean. I watch the behemoth wander around outside the shack, scratching through the snow looking for some grass. I'm very nervous, aiming my rifle through the cracks in the wall of the shack. I'm about to start freezing, so I figure i'll take my chances and take a shot. Once it gets in a good spot, I raise my rifle. The world melts around me. The only thing in the world is me, my rifle, and the moose. It stops walking. I line up my sights. I pull the trigger. A splat of blood hits the ground. The moose falls. I victorious. Moose hide! 16. Bagged this sucker with one shot on DAY 2 of my new custom run at Trappers Cabin.
  17. Was playing a custom run when I noticed that the torch illuminates a strange green light. Glitch? Playing on Xbox One S.
  18. Welcome to the forums @TantFuriosa! I must say, that is a REALLY good shot! Very dramatic looking. Looks like it should be in a trailer for TLD.
  19. When can we expect a trailer for the update this month?
  20. Who voiced Jeremiah, Gray Mother, Methuselah (am I spelling that correctly?) and Mathis in Wintermute?
  21. @Wormer you make a good point, There aren't many reasons to go to HRV in interloper. I just tried to edit my previous post because I left a few things out but it wouldn't let me. I wanted to list that the Mackinaw DOES spawn in interloper, there is a flare gun spawn chance (don't know if this spawns in interloper or not), and a moose carcass (with the hide) hidden some where near Moonilooth lake.
  22. Hmmmm... Let's see here.... SPOILER ALERT!! 1. Guaranteed moose hide satchel at the signal fire (on all modes besides Interloper) 2. Guaranteed Mackinaw at the signal fire (on all modes besides Interloper) 3. Three (possibly more) places to find a bow and arrows (on all modes besides Interloper) 4. Random caches with really good food and clothes 5. Lot's of saplings
  23. Will you ever do a stream or something of you playing TLD? I understand that you are a very busy person, but I think a lot of people here would enjoy it if you did.
