  1. A whole MONTH without sunshine?? Wow, worst case of RNG I've ever heard of!
  2. It sounds like you are asking a real-life question on this game's thread? I'm not one to give medical advice.
  3. You can also reach it from Derailment itself.
  4. That map you were using should be fairly up to date. Really the only major change would be the bunkers. https://thelongdark.fandom.com/wiki/Pleasant_Valley#Maps
  5. You can certainly say whatever you want on here, just be prepared for the consequences of your actions.
  6. Keep in mind, this is a game, not reality folks. We all need to be reminded of that from time to time (myself included!).
  7. I think we'd get more than a sprained ankle tromping through that in our tennis shoes - we'd be buried!
  8. I'm on a relatively new playthrough. I'm keeping notes on where I find them. Here's what I have so far:
  9. I believe the last thing which caused a permanent tilt of the Earth's axis was a Mars-sized planet colliding with Earth during it's formation.
  10. Guaranteed on all settings.
  11. @Leeanda, don't forget about the ammo box caches in HRV. Also, Transponder Caches. Before DLC, good ol' "bunker" would do for prepper caches. Now that long-standing tradition has been shattered by Tales.
  12. After you've cooked prepared acorns, you use a hammer to make Acorn Grounds.
  13. Just an idea: you could still collect acorns, and when you do have access to a hammer, crack them then. This is what I do.
  14. May I ask what your reasoning is?
  15. It does. What I did was sprint through to find the fresh air. I then knew how much time I could explore the gas area before retreating to the fresh area. Rinse and repeat. Just an option.
  16. Have you explored other areas of GBI? Also, there are actually very few areas in which canisters are needed. You can safely run through most of them. I fully explored the mines are used maybe 3 or 4 canisters.
  17. I must have a mod that enables this (not sure which one!). Occasionally, I find Halite, to which I can use a heavy hammer to break it down into salt, which in turn gives me a "salt" option on meats (I've never actually used it). Your idea @piddy3825 seems very reasonable, I'm just not sure how much I would use it. After all, it sounds like it would consume a LOT of wood to boil down enough water to get a small amount of salt; although, HL could "tweak" reality in that aspect. With us eating practically anything at lvl 5 cooking combined with existing cooking of meat, I just see it as a "cool, lets try this" and then never do it again mechanic. Just my opinion.
  18. @dave1122, glad to hear re-install partially solved the problem. I'm curious, if you start a new game now, do you also experience the crashes in that new game? Trying to determine if it's something to do with your save. Do you experience these issues with other games?
  19. You would also need to consider the boiling of the water to kill bacteria.
  20. Yeah, I had to have a separate notepad to track them when I did it.
