I’m still trying to understand this iteration. I made it to the airfield etc, repaired the transmission tower there, found the direction finder and ventured out one evening and the beeping climaxed in a snowy field but nothing was there as I was standing over the rapid beep. I play with Xbox and I see there are more episodes, but they’re not available for me. What’s the purpose of this iteration? Only the scant Airfield is available. Can I do something in Survivor mode?

The timber wolves are really not my problem, and I used the flashbangs getting to the powerplant. The black wolves are the problem. I lack the resources. Found lots of revolver bullets, but no revolver, and only a few rifle bullets.

I’ve been playing since 2015 in Survivor and know all the tricks to ward off the basic wolf, but in this episode, I have 3 flares, one rifle with two bullets and some flares that don’t affect the charging wolf. Once the bullets are gone, after maybe killing one, a few steps later, more wolves. I’ve tried to skirt around them, and it works for a while but turn the corner and BAM! I get bloody and my health is week, but now I might have a flare left and I’m still nowhere near my destination and nightfall is coming…I’m doomed. This plays out 5 times and I’ll stick with Survival

I’m gonna have to hold off for a while on Eps 4. Leaving the prison with very few resources, I might kill one wolf, but end up constantly never reaching my destination because of them. The torches and flares are not deterring them, they still attack. Not much fun.

Usually in Survivor, that would be my logical choice. Guess I was beatup pretty good in the prison and got that sense knocked out of me….😊. Thanks

I downloaded eps 4, the option for resume was in the mine with the fuses, which I had already completed all of eps 3, two years ago, but it loaded me up at the install fuses and had my character as Astrid….of which I was not. Anyway, went back into menu and called up eps 4. Eps 3 is not checked off as done even though I did.

Spoilers . . . I was just tasked to go from the prison to the power plant, and I planned ahead by dropping stuff in the place I should, but every attempt had me leaving at night during a snowstorm with zero visability. Grasping in the dark freezing.

More new building locations to explore on existing maps, and re-working where old building locations are to mix up the experience, making an old series of maps, new again.......oh, and can we get candles added as a light and passive heat source too?

I agree. I feel the region is too scripted like it didn’t know if it should be part of Wintermute or the Survival Sandbox. The aggressive timber wolves make things too hostile in a scripted way. Just keep the regular wolves, regular bears and regular moose - not Wolf Blitzer

I decided to have a look-see of this new map, but did it in Pilgrim to be on the safe side. I liked the map area, but being on Pilgrim, it did lack the challenge of the hunt so-to-speak, but I didn’t think the timber wolves would fully satisfy the challenge in a positive casual play. I liked the random bears in the other maps as well as the “normal wolves”, and moose, but the timbers just are a little too much caffeine for my liking to explore with some challenge. While there, I didn’t have the urge to make bullets or use the machinery because I had acquired what I needed in the other maps and I knew, like the others, I’d be moving on again. When I do play in my usual Voyager mode, I likely won’t venture to BI, because the risk is not worth the loss of my acquisitions from and going to other regions with the timbers overly “aggressing”. The only way to risk it, is to make it your first stop, then move on. Please don’t put the timber wolves in the other regions. Yeah, I’m a 🐓 .

One more hitch. I’ve been to the tower countless times in “Survivor” in the 4 years playing, but I can’t seem to find it in the endless blizzard....even looking at the map. I’m climbing and climbing....

I did restart and it went to 100%. But yes, there’s more....

I guess I still have lots to do?

Me too. Am I stuck or just do other things until fixed?

The 4th attempt, I actually wounded 2 as there was 2 sets of blood spatter, but they cane back and finished me off because I was wounded myself and very cold. 4 more times I lit blue flares, threw them, waved them, and unloaded bullets but they kept on me...😳

I use “boss fight” where the odds are against the player in games that have multiple adversaries against one person. The “bear thing” was my reference to spearing the bear in # 2 in the cave. I’m still looking forward to play #3, but I can’t keep defining “insanity” . I’m not a spry 20 something any more...

Just started # 3 and am getting annoyed by the TW boss fight where the blue flares and bullets do nothing to get back to civilization. I know there must be a fight of some kind, but doing this over and over again, changing my route is up there with the bear thing. Dropping the victim and getting your weapons off the wheel in Xbox is more than murder...

I think Jeremiah is a “Darpa” character, one of the people who set up a project that went wrong. Methuselah, on the other hand is Will’s “old self conscience” giving him advice. Only he can see him.

Having played (Survival-Sandbox) for about 4 years, many, many times, (because I’m addicted) it would be nice to have more random buildings and wrecks scattered about the existing maps to surprise people like me, and keep the addiction growing. Also, hay bales - make them inter-active to use as bedding material or fire starter. Candles....I’ve mentioned before and I think I saw them on a preview of Ep 3?. Keep up the fine work my fellow Vancouver Islanders! 👍

Thanks Raph...I’ve really enjoyed this game for 3 years and the fact you are all fellow Vancouver Islanders make it better. I must say this bear fight has been right up there with Mad Max. I’ll give it a go in a few days when I’m free and have got the update...cheers!

I’d like to see a variety of candles to be found to light in cabins instead of using up all the lantern fuel. Come on, EVERYONE has candles, right?
