  1. Just finished the Nomad Challenge, I a new personal record, did it in 46 day 23 hour and 23 minutes.
  2. I'm think about starting a low key gaming channel on YouTube, so I started a practice run doing a speed run of the Nomad challenge. So far I've done 13 videos have 3 more almost set to upload, and then 2 more videos to record. If I could get some style critiques it would be appreciated. Unfortunately my current computer is a little under powered so the frame rate may be a little low, but I’m getting a much better machine close to the end of March. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZIlDTRF0KHsfvWGo2jwxSB2vkYAOk007
  3. Yes it is quite easy to use a screenshot as a backdrop.
  4. If you are going to try to attract the attention of a rescue ship way use just one red flare. Using a program call FWsim I created a firework show over the Desolation Point lighthouse. First time using the program and I may go to other TLD landmarks for forthcoming shows. Creative criticism is always appreciated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcv8FzC0bRE
  5. No Decoys in Inventory?

I do not know if this is a dug or if I’ve just got decoys wrong. The other day while backing away from a wolf, I went to drop a decoy and got the message that I have no decoys in my inventory. Later after dealing with the wolf, I checked my inventory and found that it was full of beef jerky, chocolate bars and energy bars. I always thought that wolves love candy bars and jerky, Did I get it wrong, is there a special decoy I should have crafted or a type of meat?
  6. May a warm fire always send you off to sleep, and greet you in the morning.
  7. In the Coastal Highway area by the exit to the Ravine, there is occasionally a corpus not far from the bridge at the base of an outcrop. Today I went to check on it, and could not see the corpus but there is crows circling overhead.
  8. Menu not working in new challenge

You are not able to heal from the backpack menu. Close-out and press the space-bar to bring up the new circle menu then select the first-aid icon. At one time you could heal from the backpack, but now a days you have to go to the first aid menu then pick what wound you want to heal.
  9. Fav map anyone?

I like to start in the Mystery Lake area, then move over to the Pleasant Valley for more long term living. So ML in the beginning then PL. Ch is more of an in / out or through map. DP is not a long term map for me.
  10. Today I left the farm house. I spotted a bear that was at the back orchard. While he did stand up to get a better look at me, he did not move towards me so; I quickly took off towards the barn. Only then after I checked out the barn (taking freezing damage constantly) and then quitting for the day, did I remember that the night before I had taken my clothes off before going to bed.
  11. I have notice at the farm house and the radio shack that if a bear is close by and I go to sleep. The bear will still be there when I wake-up. This can be a small nap or a full nights sleep. The most was a 16 hour nap at the radio shack. Shouldn't the bear keep move while the player is sleeping.
  12. The dreaded rifle!!

Maybe the rifle gods were telling you to go for your Silent Hunter achievement and at 32 to out of 50 days you were almost there. I had to chase off the wolves at the derailment to get a rifle
  13. Trapped in the Lookout

I had made it up to the Mystery Lake’s Lookout to see if it had a hatchet, but the only thing I found was a bullet, a candy bar, and a few other things. I settled-down for a night of freshly cooked wolf steaks and a deep sleep and early rise. The next morning the day was crisp and clear just the way I like it. I made my way down the steps my deer skin boots crunching on the fresh snow making it to the last landing when out of my peripheral vision a dark shape crossed my line of sight. It was a wolf. He was circling the steps, but never across the opening. I could not trust my abilities to shot him through rail. I went back up to the lookout to get some rest and wait him out. Twice I did that and still he was there waiting for me to come out. So I stayed the night to see if after a longer wait he would get bored and go find something else to do. In the morning I went down and he was still there. I prepared to fight him. I metaphorically got my knife ready. I stepped out of the last of the steps and when he attacked I fought back stabbing him as quick as I could. I think the fight was draw. With just a little bit of heal left we parted ways. He in to the snow I up the stairs. In a daze I made it to the first landing. I applied bandages and antiseptic as quick as I could. I made my way back up the stairs still in a heavy daze. I could see him standing off to one side glaring up at me as I made my way to the lookout. I made a fire, boiled some water, and ate the last of the food. I slept for the rest the day and into the next morning. When I woke-up the next morning my health was good and the day was not. A blizzard was howling outside. It was not until the next morning that the weather was good enough to travel. But I still had the wolf to deal with. I found him. He was not far from where we had parted ways, his corpus was cold. He must have died soon after the fight maybe it was his specter that had watch me as I climbed the steps a few days ago. I had wanted to claim his fresh, to wrap his skin around me like a blanket, to use his guts like string. His corpus was too badly gone to harvest. I am quite sure he was laughing at me as I made my way down the mountain with my stomach growling. I was half way down the mountain when I turned a corner and came face to face with another wolf no doubt coming up to check on her mate. She was having problems with the deep snow in that area and could not move forward. I fired quickly hitting her but not killing her. She run down the mountain with me quickly following her. I lost sight of her, but her blood trail showed me the path. Just 100ft from the trail head I stumbled and sprain my ankle. In the time it took me to attend to my ankle the trail was lost. Looking from the bottom of the mountain, a logging area spread-out before me. To the left I could see a deer walking. The wolf clearly did not go that way. To the right and away was a wolf but he seemed fine and was walking across the logging area looking for pray. I looked around the area but could not find a corpus, but the nearby wolf was now closer and I standing on a group of logs made it easy for him to see me. This time the angle better and I was able to look down on my target. One shot was all it took to bring him down. I quickly harvest ever thing from him and retreated up the hill for late brunch and healthy nap. As I again made my way down the mountain a fog was settling in. I had to move on; with no food I could not stay there any longer. He was waiting for me at the bottom, striding towards me before we even had a line of sight. This time I took my time pointing the rifle into his intended path. When his head filled the sights I fired and down he went. This time I would harvest and run. No going back up that mountain I was finished with it for a while. As I strode home back to the lake office, it came to mind that with the wolves that I had killed here and the ones from the trip to the lookout I should have enough pelts for a wolf coat. {Fin} Next time I get the writing bug I will post for you gals and guys the time I mistook Rabbet Island for a lake.
  14. Wolf "Stays" at Abandoned Lookout in PV

I had a wolf do that to me at the forest lookout. Came down after a visit and there he was. Doing the same thing walking around the landing but never in the front where I could get a shot off. Would go back up and take a rest come back down and he would still be there after about a day I decided to fight him off and won. A couple of days later as I was going down the hill another wolf was trying to come up the hill, but he got stuck at that dip in the path. He I shot at and he run away. I had a great time I even wrote up a story about it for one of Accurize2 YouTube posting, first and only time I’ve written up an adventure. I thought the whole thing was a random encounter, you know to keep us on your toes.
  15. I would like to set the keypad’s Enter go it will drop a decoy when pressed, but instead of binding to the keypad’s Enter key it binds to the main Enter key. I understand that this is a trivial bug, if it is a bug, that most likely would only affect a very few plays or only me, so I understand that it will be very low on your to do list. Thank you, MacEriu
