Arrow stuck in a tree? Hit box is massive?

In the ravine i was hunting the deer there. I've lost like 3 total arrows to unretrievable locations in total over the course of the game. But this was a pretty safe shot from mostly a clear area into an open one. When i fired my arrow, it got stuck in the hammerspace of this tree and is unacquirable.

Any idea how to retrieve the precious arrow?

I see this is kind of an old post, but I had the same thing happen recently while hunting at the mouth of Raven Ravine in the birch trees.
