Hi I'm new to the forum. I searched for this topic but found nothing so I posted this one.

English is not my native tongue, sorry for my sentence construction.

One of the boring part of the game is a lot of waiting and you cannot multitask while doing things by the fire.

I suggest that we can leave our food or meat on the fire while it is being cooked. Melt snow and boil water while we go out to gather things or just do something else, rather than watch the timer reach 100%. This removes the boring part, saves time and become more realistic. This also opens up more opportunities for other features such as smoking fish or meat to better preserve them.

I would love to multitask while my water or food is being cooked by the fire.

That is something they have said is planned to be implemented, however, I don't believe it will be in the game before release of the beginning of story mode
