Journals for Existing Games At Switch Over

Since the existing saves won't work after the next update does anyone know if there is a plan to allow players to save the journals of existing saves at that time?  Or is the only way to save the journal to take a swan dive off the Dam or provoke a bear repeatedly?

Journals that you've saved, along with your other existing Profile Data should carry over with the new save system. As we've stated, the save game itself will be gone, however. We'll be giving everyone a heads up well in advance of this happening though.
