It would be neat to be able to harvest bone from kills and then craft it into useful items like fish hooks and needles. A rabbit or 2 could supply the raw materials for a new sewing kit or the gear needed to go fishing, without needing to find scrap metal.

And yeah, there has already been a lot of discussion on topic of natural materials to be harvested and used in the game in various ways. So far nothing. But the fact that there is plenty of interest towards it means greater chance that devs will cave in and submit to the will of the people. So, keep em going.

There are no bad ideas, even if they are repeated, they are always good and sometimes lead to something even better.

I'm surprised that collecting bones isn't already a thing. It would be cool to have to make a knife blade in the forge, but then require a bone and combine the two. This also goes into custom designs and custom crafting.
