Flameless Ration Heater for MRE

Would it be practical to add these into the MRE's as they are often issued with them included?  You just add water and the chemical reaction heats the water to boiling, so you don't have to worry about the wind and as long as you have unfrozen water you can use it.  It heats up the food and can give you a tiny bit of personal heat as from what I've seen of them in videos, they do produce quite a lot of heat.  The trade off is time, as to properly heat up it could take between ten to fifteen minutes.

and you can use them to make coffee! Er, not that I have a coffee problem.
