Number of Cattails

Does anyone know how many total cattails there are?  Or even better, how many are on each map?

@Timber Wolf I don't think there is a fixed number of cattails. In the same way as other natural resources, the spawn locations difer from game to game. Additionally, cat tails are among the resources that get re-spawned from time to time after a big update.

I'm not so sure.  I spend most of my time on TWM and know it very well and I'm pretty sure I always find the same amount of cattails, rose hips, mushrooms and OMB in the exact same spots.  The only natural resources I have noticed a difference in from game to game are the birch and maple saplings.

You are possibly right, I'm basing my guess on my first games in ML. I seem to recall the spawns being in different places, but its been a while since those games happened... I seem to be stuck with my 400 days game and until FM came it I had almost forgotten how a cat tail looked like

Cattails often wash ashore for beachcombing.  Re mushrooms, I've had starts in TWM / Interloper where the # of mushrooms on a given stump is 1 less than a previous start.
