How about this as a way to keep things fresh; A really huge repertoire of sarcastic retorts all dependent upon the characters condition. And make it so that the game keeps track of what has been said before and uses the stupid comments rarely and instead uses swearing much more frequently. And of course, the dialogue should be configurable and heuristic. At first, the chattiness can be helpful to new players but then very annoying to experienced players. And when you finally bag an animal and when  you are starving, just let out with an Oh My God YESSS!! or an occasional, vocalization if you stop and behold the view, WOW!

More suggestions please. Obviously there are too many to vote on choices.
