ColdWinter0
I am not sure if it has never been mentioned, but I'm gonna say it here. While it is nice having a journal and recording stuff down in your journal, I thought it pretty cool if frozen corpses you loot or any structures you search have readable journals. What could be inside could be lore, refrences to dangerous areas, stashes, tiny random increase of any skill, secret bases, etc. It would be pretty nifty to have that kind of mechanic. (And yes, it can be a fuel source.)
tomas_herbertson
I do know there's a page from a climber's journal in the mountaineer's cabin in Timberwolf Mountain--I imagine the devs will be adding some more such documents, but they may be focusing on doing so on the narrative Story Mode side of things, honestly, and I wouldn't blame them for focusing their narrative efforts there, personally. ColdWinter0
As an idea for sandbox that is in the near future. Would add a good sense of immersion.
Jolan
That could be cool, maybe they could indicate where they stashed all their stuff seeing as how most of them are traipsing around practically naked and defenseless
ColdWinter0
Good point. Forgot the fact that the corpses are not well equipped, lol. That would definitely add to the immersion.
