I am all for new foods, variety is the spice of life and all that. Personally I'd love to see some honey added since the shelf life of it is basically forever.

If we did get a bigger variety of foods to find, it would be interesting to get a more complex nutritional system to go with it.

New foods, would probably tie into a new cooking system. Like being able to bake a simple bread from found flour or dicing a bunch of potatoes sliced carrots and a quartered rabbit to make a stew that cooks while you run to the gas station to work on those deerskin boots. Or throwing a can of beans and a shredded Kg of wolf meat into a pot with some spices to make a chili that cooks while you repair a coat.

We do see some of these in the game. However Bread and Muffins would go stale/mold far too quickly. Instant Noodles would be a good idea though. Those things last for ages. as would the others on the list that aren't already implemented. I would especially love to see dehydrated nonfat milk. Now, if Hinterland implemented some sort of recipe system where we could combine otherwise non-prepared foodstuffs such as flour, salt, baking powder, etc, you could make your own bread.

Sounds like something that could be lovingly addressed by the community with a modding toolkit.

I'd rather the devs work on new game mechanics than reskins of existing items.
