Can't Drop Items In Car

This is no biggie, just something I noticed the other day. I got into a car in CH, looted a can of soda, I checked it's condition and saw that it was 'Ruined' so tried to drop it while still in the car. The option to 'Drop' is there but it didn't (or doesn't) work.

It used to be you could get yourself a whole load of torches from any fire, then go camp out in a car, light them all, drop them, and enjoy a nice sauna.

And other stuff would fall through the seats.  It was a whole thing.  So drop is now disabled in cars.  

NOTE: right-clicking on objects that are already in cars used to throw you out the door, maybe still does?
