Nyarlathotep
I'd enjoy the mechanic of being able to kick out the fire after it has been started. Once it has done its job, to be able to kick it out and retain its unburnt fuel would be nice and pretty realistic. Its terrific that we can now reuse old fires, but that next step would take it that one step further in the direction of awesome !
Pillock
Yes. But I'm not sure you'd want to put that fuel in your pack immediately after you'd kicked the fire out. Might get a bit... burny. I guess you could bung a load of snow all over it to cool it down.
Rolandtigerfish
@Pillock this could be a way to add wood seasoning into the game. For extinguished wood only

Ice Hole
Smokey the Bear says "Only you can prevent forest fires". Now that campfires can be reused I would still prefer to be able to dismantle the campfire altogether.
