SDStasis
This is quite a simple idea. Adding a new item the thermos which can be found among other random loot in the game. Thermos can keep your drinks like coffee and tea warm for so so many hours. To balance it out you can make it so it either needs cleaning or repairing after having used it for a bit of time. And if you don't the thermos will keep drinks warmer for a shorter duration. This could be nice in the midst of blizzards and cold weather, a way to effectively store a short burst of heat. TheHunter280
This idea is one of the most popular but +1 Here's some stat to add to balance 0.75 kg Because it weight something 0.7 l Can only contain one type of drink when filled Necessitate a quality tool to repair it and take as much time, resource to repair and condition as a storm lantern The item condition determine the time left for the hot drinks to be cold. At 100% 5 hours before it cool down The thermos could be a nice item for early to mid game since there is seven hot drink and the affliction is +4°C/7.2°F for 2 hours 1...3 x 2 = 2...6 hours
GiantAntCowboy
I think the thermos is a great idea also, real handy when planning a trip. However I don't think the Thermos should be repairable because they generally utilize a double wall vacuum to create the insulating properties, over time the thermos gets damaged and the vacuum is lost, and this would be impossible to fix. It should lose condition over time until it reaches a minimum value of heat storage; still good for transporting hot liquids but can only keep them hot for an hour or so. Rolandtigerfish
This could also imply drinks could freeze. Why they don't affect your warm condition the when you take them cold I can't say.
JimmyPL56
I believe the thermos is already on the road map- great idea.
Silverhour
What's funny is that Hinterland might actually have to contact Thermos to get permission to use their brand, otherwise no one will know what the item is. Even if they just call them insulated containers, everyone will just refer to them as Thermos' anyway!
