Picking up branches

Can we have the ability to pick up branches? They could come in several different sizes - if it's small enough it will be possible to be carried in inventory - then taken back into cabin and used for crafting or chopping into firewood/sticks.

It should be in the game, mainly because it will give an interest to branch for early and mid game but should carried by some cordage plus their harvest time should take 5 minutes by hands and 2 by hatchet

Personally when I go searching firewood in park I take branches around 1 meter and stock until need to make a fire
