Kevin_Rs5
Hey guys, Recently, I've been doing a lot of fishing in The Long Dark, and thought about how cool it would be to make the whole fishing experience more in-depth. For example, you could put different kinds of meat on your hook in order to catch different species of fish. Also, just as there is a struggle system to fight the wolf, there could also be a fighting system in order to catch the fish with the possibility of losing it. Also, how cool would it be to be able to fish the coastlines now that there is open water. This would add a new way to fish instead of just ice fishing. What other ideas do you guys have that would make the fishing experience more immersive?
Riverotter
Great ideas! I also agree that fishing need some extra work, in order to make it more immersive and enjoyable. in the open water you could construct a crab trap bait it and throw it in and wait a day and check it, with chances to brake throw the ice or lose your trap.
