Resource Harvesting

I suggest a real-time resource harvesting system, such as in The Forest, Rust, etc. It is one of those very rare "redeeming qualities" about those games... Any feedback from the HinterLanders?

Not sure what you mean exactly. Since the game isn't going to be centered around crafting (it will be part of the game though) and building things harvesting resources only makes sense in the context of keeping your gear in good condition.

Sorry, I suck at describing stuff. Say you just take your axe and walk up to a tree and chop the tree a few times with each chop effecting the graphics of the tree to represent another cut into it, then after a minute or two of that the tree drops. Or with each chop there is a chance, based on the appropriate skill, to receive a piece of wood.
