  1. Howdy Y'All, I've been writing notes to Daily Log 2nd pace, like how many wolf skins I have curing in which hut or cave. So I can pick them up later, when they are ready to use. Now, it seems, that my notes disapper now and then. Has happend to me already 3 times. Anyone else having this problem?
  2. Are there any differences between EASY, MEDIUM or HARD playthroughs? I mean is some items taken away in Hard but not on Easy?
  3. Yeah.... I know it's 200 succesful repairs to get from level 4 to 5. But I thought the skill book is worth atleast 10 repairs, so that should have been make atleast a little mark to skill bar. But nothing?
  4. Does anyone else have this issue? Seems that Sewing Primer research book does not make any change in skill. I've had this now twice. First time was at skill level 3, and now on level 4. After reading the book, there is no visible change in skill bar. Should I report this as a bug or is the change so minute, that it's invisible?
  5. Where does it hide? I shot an arrow at him/her/them. Chivalriously retreated to Farmhouse. Waited an hour and checked the blood stains on snow. Now I can't find it. And the Grows are not helping. From where should I look? EDIT: Found! Seem to patroling from a cave South of Farmstead, on other side of river.
  6. That would be a nice addition to game! I'd like to see it as a more time consuming alternative to snow shelter. Maybe a more durable too.
  7. Thanks, That was exactly the issue here. My two bottles of antibiotics behaved like they were 2 huge and lively Coho Salmons on my base table. Coudn't get them near each other. While Tomato Soup cans were neatly next to each other. Hope they fix this issue. I remember time, when you could place rabbit skins only as close each other as wolf skins...
  8. Howdy Y'all! Title has it. But a little pit of clarification. I've seen in YouTube that advanced players have things, like coal lumbs, bandage or coffee cups piled on table, really close to each other. When I try to do same, äll I got is a message "Too close to an other object!" How do they do it? Is it mod?
  9. Doing exactly same! Trying to learn the map, even planing my future Blackrock base to Old Substation. There is a bed, a crafting table, a fire barrel and two caves nearby to cure my skins in there.
  10. Happen to me too! I used that Blackrock crafting table and the storage next to it as my go to safe in all my "prison visits". My gear was there waiting for me. And just by luck! Jace had a date with very furry guy...
  11. Where would you plase your future base in Blackrock? I think, mine will be at the Old Substation: Pros: Bed, Crafting, Cooking, 2 caves nearby to cure skins Contras: Long way to Moose spawnings and Coal Mine
  12. Did some testing, Just out of curiosity, I left 22 sticks and a tinder into my inventory at the end of Episode 2. They were gone! It must be a cold place that Blackrock Prison, 'cause sticks were so valuable. 😉 OK, Confiscation mechanics might be totally random. So don't trust my in this. But might be interesting to see what is taken away and how often.
  13. Did you see AdamvR's post above? This might have been just a wishfull thinking based on too small patch of fish... @Stinky socks; @AdamvR
  14. Intersting.... Did my testing back July, 2020. And I got more oil from smaller one with pot. Although my sample was realy small. Could have been rounding distortion as you said But huge thanks publishing your results. My original post is copy+pasted below Posted July 5, 2020 Cought 2 White fish. Fried 1,67kg one on stove top and got 0,02L of oil. 2nd fish, 1,49kg, was fried in a pot and I got 0,03L fishoil. Using pot gives definately a better yield!
  15. That might be it, I did pass time - played cards - inside after fixing my gear
  16. Ash Canyon or Hushed River... Ended up voting Ash Canyon, cause all the time I was there, I wondered, if there are such a places in Canada.
  17. Day 293 on Stalker and I finally got my badge from snaring rabbits... I've been playing this game since November 2016, and still I do not have my 500 days on Stalker trophy, Quess, I'm a slow learner - Or really stubborn to my old habbits.. Ages ago I desited that stoning rabbits is more efficient compared to snaring. On this playthrough I made a conscious effort to snare as much as possible. I think I open a bottle of Chianti to my bear liver dinner tonight. If there only were fava beans in this game...
  18. There is a stick sized branch in cave between Mystery Lake and Milton. If you break it, you'll get 3 sticks
  19. @Sherlock Holmes 18, I know, I posted it there... 😄çok teşekkür ederim But to be serious about the issue here, I think making lantern fuel is not that hard in game. You need a pot and a nice fat Coho salmon or Small mouth bass... It's the wolves and THAT bear you need to get rid of first near Fishing village...
  20. I think, I might have figured it out! It's been my mistake all the time. Entering into a building after a shot to recuperate, seems to reset the bear. Had an other encounter with a bear on Misanthrope's Island - shot twice, both hit, entered the house, waited 2 hrs and found both arrows in front of the door. Retried from a fishing hut near there, waited an hour and found him ready to be harvested... Conglusion: Am I my worst enemy in this game?
  21. I'm thinking of tallow candels... One might get tallow from Moose and Bear. Something not so easy to hunt. After that it must be melted and maybe cast into used cans with a peice of cloth as a snuff. And you couldn't move them once they are lit. Could be used on craftin tables or for reading indoors...
  22. I call mine The Old Ironside; Named after Oliver Cromwell. It is the bear near Fishing Village in CH. No matter how many arrows I shoot towards its' head, they end up to his hind legs or something like that, I'll be mauled, wrap myself to bandages and fix my clothing. Then there is like two to three blizzards and after them I start lookign for carcass. All I hear is crows singing to corpses around there. And I can't find that damned bear... I hate him. But love the challenge! In loving memory of those lost arrows. PS: While I was mauled, I saw 2 arrows sticking from The Old Ironside. Surely, it should bleed to death... After spending a full in-game day trying to find it I finaly bump to a very much alive bear near its' den. I managed to climb that rock leaning tree near there. A head shot, blood splatters and it still run a way. Followed the paw marks in snow and saw the death scene near the small hut at the hill top. Only one lost arrow at the end.
  23. Same kind feelings here, they eat ear wraps for breakfast and bunny hats for dinner... Until you get a Moose hide satchel and plase it out most.
