  1. +1 for a test branch now! Only reason I come to the forums is to find out if there is one that I can go get for that exact reason.
  2. So you ARE listening to the customer! Fabulous! If only more companies actually did that. Thanks!
  3. Depends on how you define it. Some people do the save/reload before dying thing and abuse the saving mechanic yet still count that since their game still says x number of days. Others do not so it's not the same type of measure.
  4. There is too much loot in the nomad challenge for sure. It would be best to have goals at each location. But it's a great challenge for new players not really one for the extremists here. If they had allowed you to pick your level it could be better
  5. the ability to use annotations....meaning I could Drop a flag (a dot, anything) on the image of the map (you save the annotation overlay in a file maybe using xml?) the x,y of your app window by pixel I guess. so in the screenshot you have on your project page for ML, there is a red dot, that is where you are I presume (have not loaded the tool yet) So you give me a button that is Mark this spot, I get a few characters or one line of text in a text box. You save the text box info along with the pixel info of where I am, then you have an icon that indicates a note saved for that spot. you overlay the icons on the map image based on the x,y of each note. click the icon and the note appears (maybe better as tooltip?) just a thought.
  6. @Sofox have you thought about what it might/could do when the new regions come out? Meaning you won't have a map from Whiteberry to use, but a blank canvas instead? Curious.
  7. I was thinking primitive like drop a flag on the map to mark a stash you want to go back to. Maybe you have a legend of several colors or maybe a single line note for each flag for what it represents? So I'm on CH and I leave a bunch of stuff in a house. I want to mark it to come back later. Something like that.
  8. Not going to disagree with @Carbon. It is very cool program and idea. However, @Carbon, isn't reloading a saved game or quitting before you die (and it saves) pretty much the same thing? ... "akin to - I dare say - a cheat?" :-) many players do that. Bottom line, as has been said ad-nausium in tons of threads, tis your game, you bought it, play it the way you wish to enjoy it. @Sofox really nice idea. You might consider a feature that allows a player to plant a virtual flag on the map or marker, so they can mark places for reference? They can simply pretend it is their way of "writing their own map"
  9. very interesting, could you provide some details on what it takes to run that? like steam only or xbox etc... and how you did that? It is pretty cool.
  10. on win 10 you have issues? I have played 600+ hours on a surface book (which is win 10) and other than the occasional fps skips and known drawing issues the game runs fabulous.
  11. @cekivi what? No love? I was trying to kill time on my way to 200 days.
  12. I like that, as I submitted a couple that they "liked" but I did not hear addressed. In the forums they could get addressed by other forum members too.
  13. I think the challenge is to get you used to each map and strategic spots on the map. Most people attempt it early on. Your stay in each place says NOTHING about consecutive days or hours.... just total time.....use the time you are at some of the spots to explore and rest there only. that way you get your hours but accomplish other things along the way. just an idea.
  14. @Pillock I love pushing that to a week in each place and would add taking your idea one step farther, each challenge could be accomplished at each level.....some would be not as big a deal but others, yeah significantly harder. It would be a nice change of pace for players between builds to try and test those things out too.
  15. Yes yes this more of this .... Hey it's your podcast RAF do as you wish. I have a FF button
  16. The Mad Maxx stuff was rather long winded and boring. Might want to give yourselves a list of what to cover. My expectations of the first podcast would have been an intro to who you guys are, some background on TLD/Hinterland and it's team. Then maybe some tidbits on what has gone well and what you have learned from the things that have not gone well. Maybe some behind the scenes stuff like....we thought of this feature to implement started coding it and the testers beat it up and we looked at it and finally said...WTF were we thinking....tossed it in the bin and started over.... It's a nice idea thought and nice to hear that you guys are normal like us.....my Dad's 386.... like what % of the audience would be able to say that? lol.....yeah I predate them...repaired them in high school lol.....started gaming and sector editing copy protection etc in wizardry back in the apple II days.... right there with ya!
  17. I want to play in Aussie Slang! how do I do that? Can we get the character to voice that too? Love hearing Aussie's talk!
  18. @Patrick Carlson almanac would be cool but you would need to find it like the climbers note in twm. at least I think so.
  19. I was crossing a fallen log on twm, sneezed, moved the mouse, was looking down, paniced....my body is still down there somewhere....
