  1. ...when your dreams revolve around ensuring that you have sufficient sticks piled outside your front door so you can make fires with a magnifying glass when the days are sunny enough to make plenty of reserve water. ...when your character says, "I'm not sure I can carry much more.." and you reply in your best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice, "Stop whining!"
  2. In many ways I concur with your thought here, @Vulcan700. As for the counter argument made concerning the period of starvation, I can personally attest that a person of average health can survive a much greater length of time on only water...I once was in a situation where I had to sustain on water along for a period of 3 weeks. Granted, by the end of those 3 weeks I had issues with muscle control due to sodium and potassium depletion, however I think that this is something that could also be factored into the game. I know it is a game and 3 weeks may be too long in 'game time' to delay for the onset of debilitating effects of the lack of food, however I also agree that 2-3 days is a bit of a fast forward. Just my 2¢
  3. Personally, I am not sure it is an exploit. The concept is one of crouch walking/crawling which implies a raised degree of carefulness and an associated degree of slowing. With that in mind, if a "cliff face" is such that there actually are ledges and 'foot holds' in the form of traversable pathways, then I do not consider it an exploit. If I were able to do this on a sheer face, then I would agree. Just my 2 ¢
  4. I have found that most caves deep enough that there is a change is ground coloration and temp stability, dropping hide and guts will result in curing.
  5. Sounds like this is something that they will definitely be able to address since there's enough various ways to replicate the issue. Thanks everyone for the feedback!
  6. I'm just gonna try and be really polite all day in honor of y'all's day.
  7. Thanks for the feedback and confirmation y'all! I did try a grid search moving my mouse slowly over all the area in an approximately 25 sq yard area, but no arrow. Even came back the next day to check, but nada. Also dropped an arrow to see if there was a natural slope that might eventually deposit an arrow elsewhere, but no luck. I did attempt to create a defect entry in the JIRA, but I was thwarted by a bug in the bug reporting mechanism..(is that sort of like a 4th wall break in a 4th wall break?)...anyway, I reported that issue to @Mel Guille directly and am awaiting guidance.
  8. I have noted an odd behavior when shooting bunnies with the bow. If my angle is downward (not meaning super steep, just down angled) my arrow will go through the bunny and simply disappear. This has happened enough times now for me to think it is a defect. The screenshot attached shows where I hit the bunny. I looking in all directions for up to 30 yards, but no arrow.
  9. Indeed...or increase the fire starting chance by some marginal degree. Anything is better than wasting it by throwing it on the ground.
  10. I completely agree! A compass would be an awesome addition.
  11. Looks like Stuffy is bear-ly holding on there...seriously though, great shots!
  12. Just remember the age old saying, "That which doesn't kill you...likely will leave you weak enough for the next thing to kill you." Oh wait, that doesn't sound quite right...but it's true!
  13. I completely concur with @piddy3825 on this topic. I agree that climbing might logically be impeded based upon the amount you are encumbered, however descending prohibitions makes no sense.
  14. So this is ultimately an issue of fish scales?
  15. I appreciate the feedback, however I find the logic to be flawed (not meaning you, but the games). Here is what I mean, let's say for example that I have no outer garments and have only inner items on. If these items have +2 warmth bonus and +2 windproof warmth bonus (I'm just making numbers up for an example), just because I put on a coat, these bonuses do not disappear. Realism dictates that it should be cumulative. Just my opinion.
