Attacked and Bear Spear is below terrain, unreachable

I was attacked and the Bear Spear dropped from my inventory and fell through the ground. (I can see it on my Map) Is it possible to create a hot-fix to make sure the bear spear is either always in inventory or does not fall through the terrain please?

I'd report it as a bug and re-load a previous save.
