Bimbobjoejr.
Why are the character's skin white, and not another color? Is it easier to do that or what?
reginaphalange
the 2 protagonists in Wintermute are white people. that's the only reason. even in story mode wearing a bearskin coat, you see Mackenzie's white hand and plaid shirt. I'm not a programmer/animator but I doubt pale skin is 'easier' to work with (that said, Dragon Age Origins's brown skin tones look kinda purplish, but that's an olddd game). They're just two white characters, and story mode is not meant to be a full-on RP (yet). we're still one of the two protagonists in story mode. I'm hoping that one day our hand will reflect our outfits. If TLD wanted to be a real RP game, sure, implement skin tone specifications. But I don't see it happening. XaldinVii
I was a bit jarred by this at first but after exploring much of the world, I see it as the artist style the game has. No it doesn't quite look 'right' but comparing it to how the trees, snow, ice, and even some other people look it all fits the same style the game is going for.
