How do I take a debug screenshot on mac / osx

I know I did this once, but I can't for the life of me figure out how it's done. Any help from the wonderful community?

Thanks for your post, musrass! Pressing [F8] should take a debug screenshot. The image file should appear on your desktop as a png with a name along the lines of "screen_(#, #, #)... "

Thanks for replying. I found out you need to press the Function key (fn) as well, but you got me on the right track!
