Ice Hole
Looking around the Lodge in BRR I noticed the temperature drop everytime going near certain windows. I have not seen this change in environment in other houses and is similar to outdoor caves. The difference is six degrees Celsius. Not all the windows in the lodge are like this. Is this as intended or a bug?
TheHunter280
Keep up the good work, you truly are a data man. It seems like a feature they wanted to implement it but had to be left over by lack of time.

I think you could be right about that. Was not sure if this was intended and agree that this looks like an upcoming feature. Now what has got me excited is that having two temperature zones inside a house is a correct step towards dynamic temperature based on what is happening outdoors. Since outdoor cave temperature is dynamic already this could be promising.
ltnshinysides
Wow good find, that is just another example of Hinterlands attention to detail. Crazy how much is going on in the background.
hozz1235
Would be cool if the windows with the lower temperature were opened just a crack. That would explain it. Then again, ultimately, the whole interior temp would drop (like our bedroom at night when sleeping).

I dont know avout you, but windows irl (even closed) have a lower ambient temperature near them than the room (until the rest of the room has caught up of course). So this sounds like a cool bug or not fully implemented feature.
NardoLoopa
Would be interesting if removing the curtains dropped the inside temp of the building / made cold-spots by windows.
codfish107
You should ask about this in the Milton mailbag question thread. I've gotten all three of my questions answered before, he will probably answer one about this.
Dan_
WOW great find! Your attention to detail is really something else @Ice Hole my dude. Judging how this only works in the lodge, I'd say this was specifically designed into the building ( or cell ). Looks like they want to make acquiring cloth a bit more difficult in the early game, six degrees is a monster difference when your clothing only provides +2ºC. If this is a step towards making inside temperatures vary with the weather I'll be a happy camper.

Usually I walk into a building and check what the temperature is inside and if warm then it never gets checked again. So if additional clothing had +6 bonus then no freezing would have occurred and the change might have been overlooked. The new HUD also helped because walking around I noticed the chevron flipping over. Since the caves outdoors have two temperature zones and also vary with the weather, this might in fact be a major update for houses. Hop into bed and sleep without worries might be part of the past. Blizzard time while indoors might require checking the feels like temperature and using the stoves or lantern. This too would add more to survival choices. 16 hours ago, NardoLoopa said: Would be interesting if removing the curtains dropped the inside temp of the building / made cold-spots by windows. A positive is clearing them away should allow for more interior light.
