Filter Inventory

I do appreciate the existing ways to sort inventory (weight, quality, etc.) but when I'm carry an excessive amount of items, I'd like to be able to more easily find what I'm looking for.  For example, I want to cook all my canned items.  Their quality is all over the board and their weight can get them mixed in with all kinds of other foodstuffs.  Perhaps a way to filter certain items.  Such as:  canned, beverages, meat, etc.
