If EA Created TLD

The idea developed from one of my post on another topic and I figured this would be a funny conversation to direct some of our negative energy about all the things that the industry is doing that is irritating gamers with a more lighthearted approach.
I won't take all the easy shots at EA away from everyone so I will just start with one. "If EA Created TLD" It would have a battle royal mode  :hatchet::flaregun::huntingknife:

This is funny.

Why are we excluding the other top golden studios that have made glorious business decisions over the past few months?

Order the $420 pre-order that comes with a Hinterland mug, toque, mitts, tinder and a non-playable disc all in a canvas backpack that is supposed to come with genuine Saskatchewan seal skin bindings and instead the bindings are made from nylon.

Then to fix the mix up there is this online form to fill out which is held in the utmost security.

Then you will need to wait 4-6 weeks to fix all.

No, read that wrong it is going to take 4-6 months for the manufacturing.

edit:

This is a Canadian game and many might not get the reference.  The BIZARRE show created a character called Super Dave.  Brilliant comedy.  Then became its own show instead of a segment of another show and well much like the Simpsons, meh.  The joke is about Saskatchewan being a landlocked province.  No Seals!

Basing it off of what I know from ea the most aka the sims where every little thing that should be in the game is sold extra;

If EA made TLD there would be no actual snow falling, no storms, and no wind that would have to be purchased extra.

Cooking with a Pot and a Can would be sold extra.

The Skill Books to help will / Astrid learn more skills would be sold extra.

You may get the Deer and Wolves, but the Moose would be sold extra. Oh and the Bear would probably be sold extra.

Youd get a single map, the rest would be sold for extra. Same with houses, you gotta buy those extra or you'll just get a few caves and maybe the snow hut thingy.

To play as Astrid that would cost ya!

To get each episode that too would cost ya!

The game would have bare minimum loot to where you'd run out easily, so you could buy extra loot boxes.

Essentials like the ropes to go climbing would be sold extra.

(The list goes on) EA is just that bad.

Every little dlc would range from $5-10.

If you wanted any new clothes that are weather proof, that will be extra.

Need another rifle cartridge? That's extra as well.

Actually having a gun? Well that is extra as well.

Want the "true" ending? Well that is extra as well.

Stuck in a location? Well for only an extra $200 CAN you can move onto episode two and completely skip the first one! Of course any gear you may have got in episode one will be extra but at a reduced price of $12.99 CAN per item.

Want a multiplayer that no one wants and online only? Well tough that's what you got. To turn it to solo player and offline you only need to pay a mere $9.99 CAN a month or we wipe all your saves as well.

If B. created TLD, you would be able to purchase additional content that would arbitrarily break quests within the vanilla game and, if playing on a particular console, you would have to uninstall and reinstall the entire game, all your mods, and all your purchased content in order to get rid of whatever content causing the problem.  Of course, to isolate which item is the offending one, you would have to repeat this process several times.  Meanwhile, they would continue to try to sell new content without fixing any of the issues previously identified (or any of the other zillion bugs identified in the game over the last few years).

To add to your fun, a new game will break the website for at least a month so reinstalling all those deleted mods and additional content "cannot be completed."

  • 1 month later...

You would have to survive 100 days in Voyager to unlock Stalker and then survive 100 Days in Stalker to unlock Interloper AND THEN after 100 days in Interloper  would unlock that you start off each new game with a rifle or bow and 20 ammo/arrows, an Expedition Parka,  Snow Pants, and a Wool Ear Warp.

If EA created TLD they would charge full triple A prize for every episode and the survival mode. And they would most likely bring out every year a slight redux of one of the already released episodes - yes, again charged full triple A prize - with ingame advertisements/product placements you have to pay for. And loot boxes. Very important. Loot boxes. Everywhere loot boxes. Expensive loot boxes. ^^
