This is already possible, I was there in the survival mode.

Number 2 is the only one I'd like, and according to @fabi, that's already possible, although I've yet to find the way, and I've tried.

Not bad, not bad. The owl idea sounds really interesting. Also i need to agree with the various animal sizes. For example, the smaller ones would be less dangerous, but maybe a little faster, but when we'll hurt it or especially kill it, their parents will take revenge on us, making them more aggresive. Which means would more oftenly rush on us than others, deal maybe more damage and more. Revolver also would be a nice idea, it would weight less than rifle, but it would maybe deal less damage and would need other type of ammo than Rifle's. Overall your ideas are interesting, i would want them to appear into The Long Dark, NCPs... well, i dunno. I have feeling like it's not as good as the others, but if you could disable them or something they would be a nice addition.

I'm liking the owl idea, I think it would be cute until it steals something from my pack lol.

I think more predatory behavior form the ravens would be interesting, I've seen some pretty big ones where I live and I can only imagine the ones in Canada to be heartier. If the geomagnetic event made all the other animals out of the ordinary, I would think the ravens (as big as they are and as numerous as they are, don't they all flock together?) would be a legit threat to an adult.

@deathbydanish, in prehistoric times some birds did prey on humans. Some birds were large enough to carry off children easily.

We have evidence such as a skull with a talon injury to the eye socket, and fingerbones that had telltale signs of passing through a bird's digestive tract.

I think it would be neat if the owl was just something that existed in the world.  Not everything has to be a threat or prey.
