Thanks.  I've done some larger pieces, but with transferred pictures and not freehand like those.  I'm currently working on some pieces for the USS Iowa Veterans Association, on actual planks of old teak decking from the ship.

Thats right.  Really, it's pretty much a soldering iron with removable tips.  I've tried different shaped tips, but I find the standard wedge tip gets the job done just fine.

My grandparents got it for me, back in '06.  I was living out in the middle of nowhere and had plenty of time on my hands after work and on weekends.   At first, I used the little placards and planks you can get from craft stores, but after getting my band saw a few years ago, I started making my own.
