Why has the log file location on Windows changed *again*?

The recent v1.27 update moved the log file to

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Hinterland\TheLongDark\output_log.txt

... but v1.29 moved the log file again to

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Hinterland\tld\output_log.txt

 

Is this just a bug, an undesired change in Unity, or an intentional change, @Support?
