Epic Moose Death

I can't comment on bleeding out, as I've only killed one moose since returning to my game after the winter holidays, but I can say I got a one shot kill from a critical hit with a bow in Interloper - so that at least is possible (hit was just under the right eye). 

From what I can see it seems moose hunting is likely to be similar to bear hunting for me - climb a tree (thanks go to @JAFO for explaining this somewhere in a topic on bears) and shoot it from there. Obviously it'll be trickier if it can't bleed out, but cracked ribs should be avoidable that way at least.
