Stuck at old hunting lodge Ep 2 (spoilers) (solved)

So I got there, and found a flashlight and a mountain rope, then a phone rang, but I didn't get there in time.

On my journal it still says to look for something that could save my life, am I missing another important item, or did I glitch my game by not knowing where a phone was in a dark house.

I'm now debating whether or not to start the episode over, or go through the house for the fifth (probably unsuccessful) time

Thank you I checked the fireplace but must have missed it, I think I am blind, I will try that.

Oh and don't forget to look for rifle cartridges in the house, should be around 12 or 13 of them (2 boxes of 5, a few individual ones scattered throughout the house). Also, the rifle cleaning kit is next to a box of em on a bench on the main floor, don't forget that and make sure you clean your rifle out before you start again.

Oh yeah it worked, I found the bullets so many bullets, thanks, I just couldn't see the gun in the shadow, I feel dumb, I spent so long looking, thanks again for your help!
